Not the fanciest or trendiest place in town, Harrah’s attracts the young to middle aged, middle-income guests that are neither flashy or pretentious, it is just full of thoroughly nice people, who aren’t trying to impress anyone. Harrah’s is just like its guests, thoroughly nice and not flashy. Its location is key; you are in easy walking distance of all the main casinos and shops. The service is good; the staff are very friendly and very willing to help, so the world is your oyster. You can grab some amazing deals too; I spoke to 3 people that paid less than $50 per night.

Rooms:

The rooms vary dramatically as there has been some development with the addition of the newer carnival tower and some refurbishment of the Mardi gras tower. I would go for the carnival tower, the rooms are slightly smaller but better equipped with mini bars, irons and ironing boards, hair dryer, and Nintendo video games. All the rooms are subtly decorated and are clean and tidy. The bathrooms are simple affairs with nice fittings and a combined bath and shower; you get a good array of freebies too.

Gaming:

There is an extensive casino covering well over 80,000 sq ft and containing over 80 tables and 1200 slot machines, it’s busy too with a great atmosphere and even better cocktails that are delivered to you quickly and with a smile. Table minimums start at $10 but go up quickly in busier times and you can play the slots from a penny upwards.

Dining:

Carnival Court Bar and Grill is set right outside on the strip, it is a great place to watch Vegas slip by and the prices low. Ming’s Table fuses Chinese, Thai, Szechwan and Japanese dishes with a contemporise twist. For live music, great steaks and seafood visit The Range it has great views of the strip to boot. If you like the taste of American home town cooking, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill gives you just that prices range from $10-$20 for a main course, they have live entertainment mast nights too. Winning Steaks is right in the thick of the action in the Sports Book and offers plenty of dishes from its grill.

Overall:

Some of the best deals in town are to be had here, so do your research before you book.
