»A tranquil oasis to escape from...
Set on the top five floors of the Mandalay Bay Hotel I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, would this be a hotel in its own right? Yes indeed it didn’t disappoint at all, if you like to experience Las Vegas to the max but be able to escape it for a few hours to relax this is certainly the place for you, it offers a tranquil hide away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. The décor is elegant and classic and it has a very intimate atmosphere, the staff is friendly and competent. The check in process is fast and efficient.
Rooms:
You reach your room via the private lifts, you will find everything you would expect from a five star hotel, they are a good size and have comfy beds with really nice linen. You get a safe, tea and coffee machine, mini bar, cd and dvd player, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer, high speed internet and even a complimentary newspaper. They have full marble bathrooms with extra thick towels and bathrobes. The rooms can get a bit noisy if you are looking over the airport, so try and make sure you are on the other side of the property
Dining:
The Four Seasons has two beautiful looking restaurants that got mixed reviews from the people I spoke to, the comments ranged from disappointingly standard to excellent. Verandah offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, it has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and you can dine either inside or on the outside terrace. Charlie Palmer Steakhouse voted the best steakhouse in Las Vegas by the LV Review Journal does great steaks, fresh fish and seafood. It is recommended you book.
Overall:
A tranquil oasis to escape from all that Vegas madness, yet only stones throw away from all the action.
