Pulling into the back entrance drop off zone at Circus Circus Las Vegas gives you the feeling of pulling up to the big top, although it looks a tired and weather worn from the outside walking into the lobby is clean, warm and friendly. The reception was fully staffed and very efficient and the staff extremely helpful, our room had been booked online only an hour before we got there and was found with ease, we had been allocated a room outside of the main building, which was a little disappointing but we were upgraded straight away for a small extra charge. All rooms are charged a dollar a day for unlimited local calls, if you have friends staying in a different hotel this is a cheap way to stay in contact.

Room:

The room was excellent value for money; it had been recently refurbished and had a very contempory feel. It was spacious with two queen size beds which were very comfortable, enough closet space for two guests a desk and a 42” flat screen TV.

The bathroom was a little less impressive, it was clean and tidy but had not been fully refurbished, a quick redecoration with the minimum of fittings being changed. The bath was one of the smallest I have ever come across and I struggled to get in it comfortably. It had all you would expect, hair dryer, plenty of clean towels and the usual array of freebies but nothing over the top.

Room service:

Circus Circus Hotel only really offered a fast food style of cuisine to the room, Pizza and burgers, which were delivered quickly (average of 30 mins) and in take away style cartons.

Gaming:

This was one of the older style casinos; the slots rang out with the sound of coins being paid out, which I thought added to the atmosphere. The slots were fairly quiet day and night but the tables on the other hand were full at all times and you can struggle to get on them at times.

Clientele:

The hotels guests were a mixed bunch, with students, Chinese and middle aged couples making up the majority.

Overall:

Great value for money. If you want to do Vegas on a budget it gets my vote
