»Its not yet fully operational
Walking into The Palazzo Resort Hotel Casino Las Vegas you could sense this was a brand new hotel and casino, the two workmen carrying a 6ft x 6ft Payne of glass across the casino kind off gave it away!! Apart from that the palazzo hotel was certainly impressive, a two storey indoor waterfall and one of the grandest lobbies in Las Vegas definitely took centre stage. The Palazzo Las Vegas certainly epitomises a lifestyle of luxury.
Check in was quick and smooth, we were greeted by a staff member who directed us to the nearest available receptionist, who again was quick, polite and gave us a complete overview of the hotels and casinos facilities.
Room:
On entering the room, The Palazzo once again amazed, the bathroom cloaked in marble had both separate shower and bath, double sinks and a fantastic array of cosmetics including a travel kit, natural sponge and sewing kit, its own dressing table with hair dryer and a flat screen TV so you could catch up on the soaps whilst you relaxed in the bath. Passed the bathroom you entered the bedroom area which boasted a well stocked mini bar, a 42” plasma TV, ample wardrobe space with a set of bath robes and slippers to relax in whilst in the room and two queen size beds crowned by heavy drapes and a chaise at the foot of each. Passing the beds you stepped down into a lounge area which looked out directly onto the Las Vegas Strip, it was well equipped with a dining table with three chairs, a desk with telephone, fax and printer and a corner sofa and coffee table. Sitting down on the large sofa you faced yet another plasma TV and a remote control for the blinds and curtains. The Palazzo is certainly the escape to a life of luxury they say it is.
Dining:
The Palazzo Hotel boast twelve Dining experiences, so what ever your taste they have something in their kitchens to suit, although all twelve restaurants were not fully open on our stay once fully operational the hotel will boast fair from all over America, Asia and Europe. We chose the relaxed atmosphere of the 40/40 club, a multi level sports bar under the direction of Jay-Z. Disappointing is a word that came to mind, we took a booth which had a two hundred dollar minimum order on it, a bottle of Perrier jute, four TGI Friday style platters and two hundred and fifty bucks later we left. 40/40 is more for the MTV viewer not the Esquire reader. Not great value for money.
Gaming:
The casino at the Palazzo was great, the waitress service was excellent and you were well looked after, unlike a lot of the Vegas casinos you were asked if you wanted a drink rather than you chasing the waitresses for one, all staff were polite and the hit losses were good.
Overall:
The Palazzo resort hotel and casino had its faults due to it not being fully operational, however it offers exceptional luxury, fantastic rooms and friendly knowledgeable staff.
