Slap bang on the strip between The Bellagio and The Mirage, Caesars Palace is colossal to say the least, marble floors and sandstone pseudo classical statues of Imperial Rome take centre place in all the public areas, with some of the largest chandeliers in Vegas to boot, Caesars Palace is impressive and macho.

Check in was slow and the queues were extremely long, so in true British style we were too impatient and checked in at a check out desk, the staff, who were very nice didn’t seem to mind and we were in our room within minutes.

Walking through the lobby in the evening the check in queue was as long as it was hours before, is Caesars Palace the busiest hotel in Las Vegas or the slowest at checking in their guests?

Rooms:

Caesars Palace Hotel has 3400 guest rooms located in 3 different towers; our room was located in the newest and fanciest, Augustus tower. It was large, almost a mini suite, it had a sofa, dining table, a desk and had the extremely comfy beds with fantastic linen and plenty of cushions for lounging on whilst you watched the 42″ flat screen TV, well stocked mini bar and a great selection of snacks, treats and gifts, I had to stop myself buying a packet of Caesars Palace golf balls!!! We had views over looking the Bellagio’s spectacular fountains and the strip through the floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom was a good size and well equipped with all you would expect from a premium hotel, double sinks, separate shower and a double width Jacuzzi bath, 15” flat screen TV and a good selection of giveaways including a manicure set. Speaking to other guests the Palace tower was as plush but try and steer clear of the centurion tower, as this is looking a bit worn and out of date.

Gaming:

As you would expect from a resort of this size, they have the casino to match, I’ve never got so lost, so many times in one night as I did within the 129,000 sq ft casino. All the tables were busy and you can pretty much play what ever you want, check how many decks they are playing with on the Blackjack tables as they change from table to table. Minimums on the tables start from $15-$25 but as will all Las Vegas casinos it goes up at busier periods, roulette minimums start at $10. You can bet up to $500 a spin on the slots but I found it almost impossible to get a drink whilst in the slots area, the waitresses are very busy but the drinks are good, just don’t expect too many as you can easily get forgotten.

Dining:

There are a wealth of eateries in Caesars and plenty more in the Forum Shopping arcade linked to the resort, all of them seemed overpriced, if you want a real treat or you win big give the 3 Michelin starred Restaurant Guy Savoy a go, the menu looked fantastic but pricey!!

Overall:

Book over the internet for the best deals, we paid $120.00 +Tax and as long as you can blag the newer rooms they are great value.
