Alexis Park Hotel

Review this hotel

Built around a Mediterranean theme and in the style of an apartment block you could be mistaken for thinking you were staying in Playa Blanca or some other cheap Spanish resort. The property is old and worn and has certainly seen better days, the furniture in some of the rooms could do with replacing and the staff could be more helpful, but it’s not all bad, you get big rooms in which you get a kitchen with a sink and microwave, a large bathroom with a shower and a small area with a sofa to lounge in whilst you get ready to go out and hit the strip or the Hard Rock just across the road.

The Alexis is a non gaming resort so you will need to be prepared to travel around a bit to get you Vegas kicks, be warned it can be difficult to find taxis here so give yourself a bit of extra time to get to where you want to go (you can walk to the strip in around 25 minutes). We visited early January whilst there was a couple of conventions on and the place seemed pretty busy but they still had some good offers to be had, so check out a few different sites before you book to get the best deals. You should be able to get a night stay for under $75.

The food in the restaurant is mediocre to say the least but lets face it The Wynn this isn’t.

This place is ideal for independent budget conscious travellers, the lads and ladettes who want to party their trip away in the Hard Rock but cant afford the rooms there or business travellers, due to its close proximity to the convention centre.
